FOIL DEMOS - AFS & F-ONE
Try Before You Buy: AFS & F-One Foil Demos in North Wales
We have a small fleet of current AFS and F-One foils available to demo on the North Wales coast. No charge for the session, no booking system and no hard sell — just get in touch, we’ll find a tide and a bit of wind, and you can find out what the kit actually feels like under your feet before you spend four figures on it.
What’s available to demo
Foils, masts, stabilisers and wings. Kit is shared between riders and set-ups get swapped around, so it’s always worth checking what’s free before you travel.
AFS
- Enduro 700 — the quick one. Suits stronger wind, lighter riders and anyone already comfortable on foil.
- Enduro 900 — the all-rounder. If you only try one Enduro, try this.
- Enduro 1100 — earliest lift and the most forgiving. Light wind, heavier riders, or getting your first proper flights.
- Stabilisers: U-Carve, Pure and HA — swap the tail and the same front wing feels like a different foil. Worth doing back to back in one session.

F-One
- SK8 750 — compact, high-performance and lively. Pump, dock start, prone and surf.
- Eagle 990 — high aspect glide for downwind and light-wind riding.
- 138 XS and 178 XS stabilisers — thin, low-drag tails; the 178 adds stability, the 138 frees it up.
- 12mm UHM mast — on the new Titan mast connection. Stiff, and noticeably so if you’ve been riding an older set-up.
- Strike V6 wings — try the wing and the foil together and you learn a lot more than testing either on its own.

We suggest kit and a window
We’ll pick set-ups worth your time and find a tide and forecast that suits. Demos are arranged directly with us — there’s no online calendar to wrestle with.

Meet on the coast
Rhos-on-Sea, Colwyn Bay, Llandudno West Shore or Llanfairfechan — we pick the spot to suit the wind direction and the state of the tide on the day.

Take your time on the water. If it works for you we’ll sort a set; if it doesn’t, you’ve saved yourself a costly mistake.
The terms, in plain English
- There’s no charge for the demo. We hold a refundable deposit against the value of the kit while it’s out with you, returned in full when it comes back undamaged.
- In person only. We don’t post demo kit out — it’s handed over and collected face to face on the North Wales coast.
- Bring your own board. The demo fleet is foils, masts, stabilisers and wings. If a board is your sticking point, ask and we’ll see what we can do.
- You need to be self-sufficient on the water. Demos are for riders who can already get themselves out and back safely. This is kit testing, not coaching — if you’re starting from scratch we’ll happily point you at a local instructor.
- You ride at your own risk and you’re responsible for the kit while it’s in your hands. Reasonable wear is expected; breakages get talked through honestly, case by case.
- Wind and tide decide. Sessions get moved when the forecast turns. We’ll always tell you early rather than have you drive over for nothing.

Foil demo FAQs
Do I need to book online?
No. There’s deliberately no booking system — foiling depends far too much on wind and tide for a calendar to be any use. Email info@morwatersports.com or ring 01492 588001 and we’ll sort a window that actually has some conditions in it.
How much does a foil demo cost?
Nothing. We hold a refundable deposit to the value of the kit while it’s out with you and return it in full when the gear comes back undamaged.
Will you post demo kit out to me?
No — demo gear is handed over in person on the North Wales coast and collected back the same way. Foils are too easy to damage in transit and we’d rather be there to set it up properly and talk you through it.
Where do the demos take place?
Rhos-on-Sea, Colwyn Bay, Llandudno West Shore and Llanfairfechan are our regular spots, and we’ll go elsewhere on the North Wales coast when the wind direction calls for it. West Shore and Llanfairfechan both come into their own on the right wind, so the choice gets made on the day — check the forecast page if you’re planning a trip over.
Can I demo AXIS or Armstrong kit too?
Ask and we’ll see what we can sort. AFS and F-One are what’s permanently in the demo fleet, but we stock AXIS and Armstrong as well — tell us what you’re after and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can get it under your feet.
Do I need my own board?
Generally yes. The demo fleet is foils, masts, stabilisers and wings rather than complete set-ups. If the board is what’s stopping you, ask — sometimes we can help.
Can I buy the kit I’ve demoed?
Yes. We can order you a fresh set, and demo gear is sold on at the end of its life — have a look at used and ex-demo foil for what’s currently going.
Do I need to be an experienced foiler?
You need to be able to ride safely and independently. Demos are about testing kit, not learning to foil — if you’re at the very start, get in touch anyway and we’ll point you towards a local instructor.
