The PLAYTIME 11'4" is a hybrid — a SUP-shaped inflatable that converts to a sit-down kayak with the included seat and double-blade paddle. Stand up to paddle the flats, sit down to cover distance or take a kid along, switch in seconds. The dual-paddle handle (3-piece adjustable) goes from single-blade SUP paddle to double-blade kayak paddle by joining/removing the second blade.

Honest advice from us

The 2-in-1 is a brilliant idea for first-time buyers who don't yet know whether they want kayak or SUP — try both, decide later. Compromise: it's not as efficient as a dedicated SUP for paddling distance, and not as comfortable as a proper kayak (Blast 12'0") for long sit-down sessions. But for casual mixed use it's the most versatile single-piece-of-kit available at this price.
