With less mass and swing weight in the front of the unit, the board feels easier to turn, pump, redirect and unweight. For pumping, surfing, downwinding, winging and parawinging, this makes a noticeable difference.

Expert Advice: If your priority is the longest possible session, the MAX High Power 594Wh is still the one to go for. The 396 is the choice when you would rather have a lighter, livelier board underfoot — in the surf, on a downwinder, or winging — and you are happy to trade some runtime for it. It is a straight upgrade on the original Sport Battery, with 20% more capacity for very little extra weight.
