Description
The Kingfish PU is a stable shape — wide, thick and flatter-rockered for easily accessible speed and making the best of average conditions. Fast and fun, it's the perfect shape for ripping in all conditions and is ideal for anyone who prefers a traditional PU/PE board over epoxy.
Like all conventional fish shapes, the Kingfish has more volume and less rocker than a typical shortboard, making it a great option for weak or mushy waves. A wide nose pumps volume under the chest for flotation, paddle power, stability and easy entry into the smallest waves with quick acceleration. The rocker and rail outline combine with a single-to-double concave bottom and V through the tail into a wide swallowtail, while a slight hip behind the front fins creates a pivot point for snappy turns. Boxy, full rails add volume and a forgiving nature. The 6mm stringer improves strength and rigidity.
