The design goal with the Hybrid-X was a board that paddles into waves really easily, then — once up and riding — performs like a high-performance shortboard through the back half. The tail is narrower than the Hybrid and Hybrid+, so with your back foot planted over the fins it responds and turns on demand while still holding in when waves get steeper and more powerful.

A relaxed entry rocker allows quicker start-up acceleration and speed off the take-off — a bonus on flatter days when you have to work the board for speed — while softened concaves add predictability and flow rail-to-rail. Built in NSP's CSE construction with a stringered SecureCell foam core for a responsive, durable hybrid that suits all wave types.
