The Armstrong Foil Drive Integrated Carbon Mast brings a new level of efficiency, balance, and smoothness to your powered foiling. By integrating the motor cable and pod directly into the mast structure, Armstrong has eliminated the drag associated with external cables and standard motor pods. This mast uses the same high-modulus carbon DNA as Armstrong's industry-leading Performance masts, ensuring that you maintain the signature stiff, ultra-precise feel while gaining seamless power assist. Compatible with the A+ System for a rock-solid connection to your entire foil setup.
Foil Assist 185 — 185 mm Motor Pod Height
The 185 mm motor pod position is the sweet spot for most foil-assist disciplines. It delivers low drag, a well-balanced setup, and becomes virtually invisible once you're on foil. For beginners, this means smoother transitions into flight without sudden stalls; for advanced riders, it allows uninterrupted wave riding and gliding. Advanced riders can mount closer to the board for more responsiveness; beginners can extend to 220 mm for added stability. The 185 mm setup remains the Goldilocks zone for all-round performance.
E-Foil 650 — 650 mm Motor Pod Height
The next evolution in powered foiling. The E-Foil mast drops the motor pod to 650 mm, ensuring consistent submersion and full-time power delivery. It's the go-to configuration for riders seeking uninterrupted propulsion and maximum control during every session.

Expert advice: If you're getting into Foil Drive, this integrated mast is the gold standard — it removes the clunkiness of external setups, making your board feel much more natural and reactive. The 795 mm length is the sweet spot for North Wales conditions; pick Foil Assist 185 for wing/prone/SUP, or E-Foil 650 if you're running a full e-foil setup.
