Kickstarter Vacancy - Retail Assistant

The role of retail assistant at MÔR is a customer facing role;
Duties will include:

  • Serving customers- offering advice on products - Welcoming customers into the store, starting their customer experience with a smile. Gaining an understanding of each -customer’s specific needs and wants through conversation and engagement
  • Cash handling- Working the shop till
  • Answering the shop phone & dealing with customer requests
  • Stock taking
  • Helping with unloading deliveries & putting away into stock room
  • Tidying displays – i.e. folding clothing, rehanging clothing, lifejackets etc
  • Restocking the shop
  • Some basic cleaning duties, sweeping floors, mopping floors, sanitising surfaces

There are lots of possibilities of progression with this role, including a Full Time position for the right candidate at the end of the Kick Start period.

Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Good Interpersonal skills- you will need to be confident in communicating with customers and working comfortably alongside other staff
A previous experience of working in a retail environment and experience of working as part of a team would be highly beneficial
An ability to multitask with good organisational skills
A passion/interest for water-sports/outdoors
Basic computer skills would be preferable

Number of hours per week
25 +

Working pattern and contracted hours (including any shift patterns)
Off Peak the working week runs Tuesday-Saturday
The shop opening hours are 10-5
In Peak Season the Working Week will run Tuesday - Sunday and any Bank Holidays
Shifts will vary each week- the working days will be different depending on busy periods- some shifts may be a 9.30-5.15 and others may be 2-5.15. We will ensure the minimum amount of hours worked will be 25 hours.
