Description
The AFS Silk V2 is a high‑performance surf foil for riders who want fast, flowing lines with silky-smooth control. More glide, tighter turns and a livelier, looser feel – without becoming twitchy or hard to ride.
Available in a full range of sizes to suit different rider weights, styles and conditions – from prone and SUP foiling to wave-focused wing foiling.
The AFS Silk V2 is the evolution of AFS’s iconic surf-foil platform, designed for riders who live for carving, flow and connecting multiple sections on a wave.
Refined profiles and updated geometry give the Silk V2 more speed, more glide and tighter, more reactive turning, while keeping that signature AFS smoothness that makes it easy to trust in the pocket or at high mast height.
What the Silk V2 is made for
-
Surf foiling / prone
Fast take-offs, efficient glide to connect sections and a super reactive feel for tight pockets and steep faces. -
SUP foiling
Early lift and stable pitch to get flying easily, with enough top-end speed to stay comfortable in larger or faster waves. -
Wave-focused wing foiling
Ride smaller wings, flag out and surf the foil. Ideal for riders who prioritise carving and surf performance over flat-water efficiency.
Key features
-
More glide & speed
Updated foil profiles and geometry increase efficiency and cruising speed. The Silk V2 keeps flying through flat spots, making it easier to link sections and waves. -
Tighter, more reactive turns
Optimised outline and aspect ratio deliver quick roll response and a tighter turning radius. Snap in the pocket or draw longer carves without the foil feeling slow or locked. -
Silky, forgiving feel
Smooth, predictable pitch and roll behaviour make the foil easy to control, even when you’re high on mast or pushing into faster lines. -
Confidence in steeper waves
Holds a clean rail under load in powerful sections, but will still release nicely when you push through the tail for slashes, rebounds or more progressive moves. -
Lightweight full carbon construction
High‑quality full carbon layup for maximum stiffness, precise feedback and long-term durability, with a clean hydrodynamic finish to reduce drag. -
Optimised for the AFS ecosystem
Designed to pair perfectly with AFS masts and fuselages for a stiff, responsive and reliable setup.
Who is it for?
- Intermediate to advanced foilers wanting a lively, surf-oriented foil that still feels intuitive and forgiving.
- Riders upgrading from entry-level foils looking for more glide, speed and carving performance.
- Existing AFS riders who liked the original Silk and want a looser, faster, more efficient version.
Recommended use
- Conditions: From smaller, cleaner waves to solid, more powerful surf
- Disciplines: Prone surf foil, SUP foil, wave-focused wing foil
- Style: Carving, linking multiple turns, connecting waves/sections, fast trims down the line
