The V3 Controller combines improved ergonomics, durability and data visibility in a waterproof handheld design. Riders can operate in traditional throttle mode or select gear-based control, pre-setting power levels and calling on boost as needed. The display shows live GPS data, battery status and session metrics in real time, keeping you informed and connected on the water.

It is fully reverse-compatible with all Foil Drive units, so it is as much an upgrade for an existing Assist, Assist PLUS or Assist Slim as it is the controller for the latest systems.

Note: if you are buying this for an Assist, Assist PLUS or Assist Slim, you will need to adjust the battery type setting in the controller to match the voltage of your battery in order to see accurate telemetry data such as battery percentage. Please read the user manual before use.

Expert Advice: If you are still running a V2 controller, the two things you will notice first are the display and the springs. The sunlight-readable screen means you can actually read your speed and battery on a bright day, and the dual-spring throttle is the fix for the wear that eventually catches up with every hard-used controller. Worth keeping the old one as a spare — a controller is the one part of the system you really do not want to be without mid-session.
