The Escape Pod is a modern evolution of Infinity's groundbreaking "Phoenix" shape — the board that helped usher in the sub-8' SUP surf era. Short, wide and carrying more volume than a typical board, it lets riders go much shorter while keeping fantastic stability and paddle speed. It's not unusual to ride one a foot or more shorter than your current daily driver.

Developed by Dave Boehne with team rider Bernd Roediger, the straighter outline and wider tail give automatic speed off take-off and get the board planing on its own, matched with a low-drag twin-fin set-up for unmatched speed and manoeuvrability. A rolled belly entry creates lift, flowing into a fast mid-section and a wide vee concave at the fins for rail-to-rail flow and control. Meant for waves head-high and below — fast down the line, quick around the section and happy to throw a big carve.
