Description
The Shark SUPs Speed Plus 14'0 x 30" x 5" is engineered for lighter riders who want race speed with added stability — typically paddlers stepping up from touring to race paddling, or taller lighter paddlers who'd struggle for footroom on a narrower board. The 30" width gives meaningful stability without losing too much speed, while the 14ft length still delivers proper race-board glide.
This is the most accessible 14ft race board in the Speed Plus range. The 5" thickness keeps the board sitting low in the water — the right choice for lighter riders where 6" would be over-buoyant.

Construction
High-density 1000-denier double-laminated woven drop stitch (DLW Weave Tech). Carbon triple rail edge with welded rail technology, 3K carbon stringers top and bottom delivering 35% flex reduction. Patented 3K CFRP Carbon Nose Cone, flat 0% rocker, water release rail.
Fin & cargo system
Smart-Tec click-in fin (US fin compatible). Multi-use D-rings expandable for adventure touring use, kickpad for step-back turns.

This 30" width is genuinely the easiest 14ft race board to balance on. If you're new to racing or stepping up from touring, this is the right starting point in the 14ft class. If you're already confident on race boards, look at the 26" or 28" versions for more speed. The 5" thickness suits lighter riders (~70kg and below); heavier paddlers should look at the 30" x 6" version.
