Description
Starboard's Foil Blade Foil Carbon is the mid-tier SUP foil paddle — same foil-optimised blade shape as the premium Foil Blade Prepreg Carbon, but with a standard Carbon Pro shaft rather than the aerospace-grade prepreg laminate. Meaningfully lighter on the wallet (~£20 less) while retaining the foil-specific blade design. Two sizes (M/L), five variants. From £379. Free UK postage.
Foil Blade Foil Carbon vs Foil Blade Prepreg Carbon
Blade shape is identical between the two. The difference is the shaft construction — the Prepreg Carbon shaft is stiffer, lighter, and more expensive. For a paddle you use mainly to get on foil (then it's not doing much work), the standard Carbon Pro shaft is a legitimately reasonable value choice.
