Velocity vs Lima

The Velocity blade is narrower and slightly shorter than the Lima blade, with a faster water release — better for high-cadence race paddling where you want quick, powerful strokes. The Lima is a more forgiving all-round shape suited to touring and everyday paddling. If you race, or want to race, Velocity. If you paddle for fitness/pleasure with occasional racing, Lima.

Honest advice from us

Velocity is the racer's choice — pick this if you're competing at club level or above, or if you specifically want a faster-catch/quicker-release feel. M or L is what most paddlers want. Skinny Oval F35 is the go-to shaft config for most race paddlers — proper oval shape for stroke reference, F35 angle for race catch.
