The F-ONE Rocket Free Downwind is built for riders chasing glide, efficiency and true freedom on the foil. Designed around the demands of modern downwind and free-fly disciplines, this board excels in emerging sports such as pocket winging, K-Winging and SUP foiling, where fast take-off and sustained glide are everything.
With its elongated outline and carefully balanced volume distribution, the Rocket Free Downwind delivers exceptional glide and early acceleration, helping you get up and flying with minimal effort. The added length improves waterline speed, while the optimised volume provides the stability needed for confident starts—especially valuable in choppy UK conditions or lighter winds.
Based on the proven DNA of the F-ONE Midlength range, this board takes performance a step further. A refined rear step and subtle kicktail help build speed quickly and smooth out touchdowns, while the shallow cockpit keeps your stance locked in without adding unnecessary thickness. The width-to-thickness ratio has been carefully tuned to balance stability and acceleration, even when underpowered.
Compared to the Rocket Free Surf, the Free Downwind offers increased stability thanks to a thicker profile, wider nose, larger bottom surface and squarer rails. Foot pressure is slightly front-biased, staying true to the familiar feel of classic F-ONE boards, and making this an excellent choice for riders who want easier take-offs and confidence in rough or variable conditions.
Built using F-ONE’s Bamboo Deck Construction, the Rocket Free Downwind remains lightweight, strong and highly responsive. The direct connection to the foil gives precise control at all speeds, whether you’re linking bumps offshore or cruising effortlessly on open water.
