Sooruz's Winter 2026/27 Guru Wind Hooded is designed around one job: keeping windsurfers, kiters and wing-foilers warm when the wind is howling and the wind-chill is brutal. New for W6 — a durable windproof panel on both the chest AND the back, up from just the chest on the previous model. Much better protection against the wind-chill that cold-water wind sports put you through, and the material is far more durable than the old-school windsurf-suit coatings that used to catch and rip on everything.
Full 6/5/4mm thickness and integrated hood — this is the warmest wind-sport suit Sooruz make.

Why windproof panels matter
In surf, wind-chill is a minor factor — your body spends most of the session wet and submerged. In wind sports (kite, wing-foil, windsurf) you spend a huge amount of time standing on the board with wind hitting your chest directly, and the wind-chill from a wet wetsuit outer is brutal. The windproof panels on the chest and back block the wind from penetrating through to the inner lining — your core stays warm even in high-wind cold-water sessions. The W6 refresh extends this to the back panel too, which matters when you're on a reach with the wind at your back.
About Sooruz
Sooruz is a French watersports brand founded in 1999 in La Rochelle. They were one of the first to put sustainability at the centre of wetsuit design — Oysterprene uses oyster-shell powder as a limestone replacement in the neoprene foam, cutting the petroleum content substantially. Their heritage is firmly in wind sports — this is a suit designed by people who understand what wind-chill does to a session.
Honest advice from us
If you kite, wing-foil or windsurf through UK winter, a dedicated wind-sport suit is a real upgrade over a surf suit — the windproof panels make a bigger difference than you'd expect. The 6/5/4 with hood is the warmest option Sooruz make for wind sports.
