The Starboard Above Air Foil range stands out as one of Starboard's riders' top picks. As a mid-size model, it strikes the perfect balance, delivering the fast acceleration of a high-aspect inflatable foilboard and the stability and smooth handling of a traditional compact foilboard shape. A mid-length board for lightwind wingfoiling, in three sizes from 6'0" × 21" / 95 L to 6'9" × 24" / 125 L, all in Deluxe Lite Carbon construction.

Product features

Carbon standing plate

Designed for faster, easier foil setup with fixed nuts and bolts, just like Starboard's composite boards. The plate gives more standing area for smoother takeoffs, while the closed EVA pad prevents water from entering the plug area.

Deluxe Lite construction

The lightest inflatable construction from Starboard. It helps you take off earlier, fly faster and in lighter winds, as well as conserve energy with every stroke and pump.

Direct foil response

Patented Top Plate Technology, with just 1.5 cm between your feet and the foil, provides direct feedback and improved control. Combined with the solid carbon standing plate, it enhances the flight experience on the inflatable foilboard, eliminating any wobbly sensations.

V shape hull

The unique V shape is designed to make take off and touch down easier. Its design provides enhanced stability and control, allowing for smoother transitions in the water.

Parallel mid-section

The mid-section of the outline is kept straight for a predictable and balanced ride. This improves overall stability and tracking for a controlled glide to take-off.

Adjustable foil track

The foil track has enough room to adjust the foil depending on the style of riding and foil type.

Rail edge release and EVA plug

The 3D Rail Edge enhances planing before takeoff, while the EVA plug seals the foil mount for smoother water flow. Together, they reduce drag and boost acceleration for faster, more efficient takeoffs.

Adjustable footstrap

With an 18 cm distance between the inserts, you can have a wider footstrap span for better trim and control while foiling, since you can micro-adjust your feet position. There are 4 different positions for the footstraps at the front and 5 different positions for the straps at the back.

Welded rail technology

The Welded Rail Technology creates a completely airtight, mechanically bonded seam without the risk of glue weakening over time. This makes Starboard inflatable boards stronger and longer lasting.

Leash, pump and bag

Included with the board: a coil leash, a Tiki Pump with dual nozzles for both board and wing, and a travel-friendly wheelie bag that fits a complete wing foil set.

Sizes

6'9" × 24" / 125 L

Rider weight: up to 115 kg. The largest in the range at 125 litres, the 6'9" is ideal for heavier intermediate riders who benefit from its added length and width. Lighter riders will also enjoy its stability, and its relatively narrow shape ensures a quick takeoff.

6'6" × 22" / 110 L

Rider weight: up to 100 kg. This mid-sized option at 110 litres caters to a broad range of skill levels. Its 22-inch width provides a fast glide for early takeoffs and remains smooth through sharp turns.

6'0" × 21" / 95 L

Rider weight: up to 90 kg. At 95 litres, the smallest model is tailored for advanced or lighter riders. The 21-inch width facilitates rapid lift-off, and its shorter length makes it exceptionally nimble in the air.
