The popular Ace Foilboard has been incorporated into Starboard's inflatable range for the most compact and travel-convenient board, creating uncompromised experiences in downwind SUP foiling and lightwind wingfoil days. It is also a fantastic crossover board for wingfoiling, both at the low and the high end. Three sizes from 6'10" × 21" / 100 L to 8'2" × 23" / 135 L, in Deluxe Lite Carbon construction.

Product features

Standing plate

Designed for faster, easier foil setup with fixed nuts and bolts, just like Starboard's composite boards. The plate gives more standing area for smoother takeoffs, while the closed EVA pad prevents water from entering the plug area.

Enhanced stability and control

The V-shape, combined with a wider, flat standing deck with inverted EVA trays, is designed for maximum stability. This gives greater comfort while paddling in choppy water and allows a more forgiving, wider staggered stance.

Deluxe Lite construction

The lightest inflatable construction from Starboard is now available in the Ace Air Foil range. It helps you take off earlier, fly faster and in lighter winds, as well as conserve energy with every stroke and pump.

Direct foil response

Patented Top Plate Technology, with just 1.5 cm between your feet and the foil, provides direct feedback and improved control. Combined with the solid carbon standing plate, it enhances the flight experience on the inflatable foilboard, eliminating any wobbly sensations.

Vee bottom shape

The Vee shape is designed to make take off and touch down easier, providing enhanced stability and control and allowing for smoother transitions in the water.

Wider flat deck

The EVA tray provides a wide, flat standing area for greater stability and comfort in choppy water. The wide deck allows a forgiving stance, while the narrow hull below ensures maximum speed and efficient glide.

Narrow tail

The narrower tails are easier to sink and the more rounded noses touch down less frequently.

Rail edge release and EVA plug

The 3D Rail Edge enhances planing before takeoff, while the EVA plug seals the foil mount for smoother water flow. Together, they reduce drag and boost acceleration for faster, more efficient takeoffs.

Rocker

The rocker on the nose and the tail has been increased to enable even easier take offs and more forgiving touchdowns.

Welded rail technology

The Welded Rail Technology creates a completely airtight, mechanically bonded seam without the risk of glue weakening over time. This makes Starboard inflatable boards stronger and longer lasting. All Starboard inflatable foil boards feature welded rails, both along the board and at the foil opening.

Adjustable footstraps included

With an 18 cm distance between the inserts, you can have a wider footstrap span for better trim and control while foiling, since you can micro-adjust your feet position. There are 4 different positions for the footstraps at the front and 5 different positions for the straps at the back.

Leash, pump and bag

Included with the board: a coil leash, a Tiki Pump with dual nozzles for both board and wing, and a travel-friendly wheelie bag that fits a complete wing foil set.

Sizes

8'2" × 23" / 135 L

Rider weight: up to 120 kg. This versatile model serves as a SUP downwind board, a light wind wing board and a SUP foil for wave riding. With a width of 23", it caters to heavier riders up to 120 kg, providing extra stability. Surprisingly easy to lift off from flat-water pumping. The narrow tail ensures remarkable efficiency, making flying effortless for riders wanting a more stable ride.

7'8" × 22" / 120 L

Rider weight: up to 90 kg. Anticipated by Starboard to be the most popular size. At this volume the board is stable enough for riders up to 90 kg, while being a stable platform for lighter riders. During testing, Starboard were amazed at how easily this board got onto foil. The 22" width feels manageable and reasonably stable while offering incredibly fast take-offs.

6'10" × 21" / 100 L

Rider weight: up to 80 kg. Starboard's smallest and fastest design in the range. The goal with the 6'10" is to create the best portable downwind foil board on the market, targeted at riders up to 80 kg. It has an incredibly fast takeoff and excellent handling on ocean bumps. It is narrow enough to experiment with prone downwind foiling, while being comfortable enough for an advanced rider to use as an advanced downwind SUP foil board.

Which size? Starboard's stated maximum rider weights are 120 kg for the 8'2" × 23", 90 kg for the 7'8" × 22" and 80 kg for the 6'10" × 21".
