Description
Starboard's Foil Blade Prepreg Carbon is the top-tier paddle designed for SUP foil — smaller blade area than an all-round SUP paddle, shorter length, optimised for the high-cadence, low-force strokes that suit foiling. Why a foil-specific paddle?
When you're on foil, you don't need a big blade — you're not fighting drag, you're maintaining flow. A smaller blade with quicker cadence gives you finer control, less arm fatigue, and better balance because you can stroke more often without over-committing weight to any single pull. The Foil Blade shape is Starboard's SUP-foil-optimised design used by their SUP-foil race team.

Honest advice from us
Use this paddle if you SUP foil. Don't use an all-round SUP paddle for foiling — the big blade area gets in the way and tires you out. Most SUP-foilers pick: M or L (based on your height, same sizing as regular SUP paddles), 2pc Adj F35 for versatility.
If you're wing-foiling, you don't need a paddle at all. If you're prone foiling on a wave, you don't need a paddle either. This is specifically for SUP foiling — paddling into swell to get on foil, or downwinding.
