Description
Starboard's Lima Carbon is the mid-tier all-round SUP paddle — same Lima blade shape as the premium Prepreg Carbon version, on a standard carbon shaft at less than half the price. £199 fixed, £225 2-piece adjustable, £235 3-piece adjustable (travel-friendly). Lima Carbon vs Lima Prepreg Carbon
Blade shape and design are identical. The Prepreg Carbon version (£399+) uses aerospace-grade prepreg laminate for the shaft — noticeably stiffer, slightly lighter, more responsive stroke feel. The Lima Carbon (this one) uses standard carbon shaft — still stiff enough for excellent all-round paddling, at half the price.
If you're a competitive racer chasing marginal gains, get the Prepreg. If you're an intermediate paddler wanting a proper Starboard blade shape without the premium shaft price, get this.
