Description
The Starboard SUP Polo Paddle is a specialty paddle purpose-built for SUP Polo — the emerging team sport played on paddleboards with a floating goal. Foam-covered blade to prevent injury when passing between players, integrated ball-scoop shape, distinctive Blue or Red colouring for team identification. £165 either colour. Free UK postage.
What is SUP Polo?
SUP Polo is water polo on paddleboards — two teams, one ball, one floating goal per end. Players pass the ball with the paddle blade, scoop it from the water, and shoot for the goal. Fast, fun, low-injury, an ideal club night activity. Growing sport across UK SUP clubs.
Why a specific SUP Polo paddle?
- Foam-covered blade — safe to pass ball back-and-forth without damaging the paddle or hurting other players
- Scoop shape — designed to lift the ball from the water for passing/shooting
- Team colours — Blue and Red to distinguish teams during play
- Trash-cleaning secondary use — the scoop is genuinely useful for lifting plastic bottles / debris from the water on regular paddles too
Honest advice from us
Buy this if your SUP club plays polo. Buy the second colour if the club needs team distinction and you're kitting out multiple players. Not useful outside SUP Polo — for regular paddling, get a Lima or Enduro.
